Benefits to Using a Certified NAID Member
There are nearly 2,000 companies in the United States that provide information destruction services. However, not each of these shredding services takes security as seriously as they should. Members of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), including The Shred Authority, operate under strict guidelines and standards. NAID members are trusted resources for information destruction by hundreds of thousands of businesses and organizations.
The NAID Certification Program establishes standards for a secure destruction process in both mobile and plant-based operations. Standards cover such areas as security, employee hiring and screening, the operational destruction process, and general liability insurance ($2,000,000 or more).
