The Peashooter™
Your "Green Choice" Chicago Shred Authority will lower its carbon footprint by 33 percent with the introduction of the new AXO Peashooter™ document destruction truck with its great fuel economy, the first one of its type in the Chicagoland area.
AXO, Kitchener, Ontario, introduced the smaller, lighter and more fuel-efficient document destruction truck in 2006 to address the inner city needs and was designed to allow inner-city operators to enter the market with a modern, full-featured truck.
The Peashooter™ is capable of shredding 2,500 pounds of paper per hour and features a total vehicle weight of 19,500, according to AXO. The truck can haul more than 6,000 pounds of shredded paper, and operators do not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate the Peashooter™.
The Peashooter™ and a fleet of fuel efficient vehicles allows Chicago Shred Authority the ability not to charge fuel surcharges when the price of fuel is on the rise.
