Shredding

The Chicago Shred Authority utilizes a shred truck for onsite destruction at client locations. Our onsite equipment is capable of handling up to 3,000 pounds per hour.

Our offsite facility houses some of the most powerful and durable equipment available the for large destruction jobs, including a 180 Horsepower Grinder that can handle up to 20,000 pounds per hour and a Balemaster baler.

If someone were to gain access to the shredded material, what effort would it take to reconstruct a document? All materials are randomly shredded per NAID AAA certification requirements using the pierce-and-tear method to comply with company standards, and then mixed with other shredded documents. Ultimately, this material is baled into 2,200 pound bales. All mobile shredded materials are randomly mixed, therefore rendering the materials impossible to reconstruct.
